Health Information

Your health information is the most sensitive information we hold, and we treat it with the greatest care. Under the Privacy Act it is classed as sensitive information and given the highest level of protection. We collect your health and clinical records, including medical history, treatment notes, and clinical photography, only with your consent and only to the extent necessary to provide your care.

Clinical photographs form part of your medical record and are stored securely at our Newstead, Brisbane practice. Separate written consent is required before any image is used for marketing or educational purposes.

Marketing and Communications

From time to time we may contact you with appointment reminders, follow-up care, and information about our services, offers, or events. We send marketing messages only where you would reasonably expect it or where you have agreed to receive them.

You can opt out at any time. Every marketing email and SMS includes a simple unsubscribe option, or you can contact us directly and we will remove you from our marketing lists. Opting out of marketing will never affect the care you receive.

Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your information securely and in a way consistent with Australian privacy standards. We will not otherwise disclose your information to an overseas recipient without your consent, unless we are required to do so by law.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact our Newstead, Brisbane clinic in writing. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
