Morpheus 8 RF MicroneedlingNewstead, Brisbane

Body Dezign House is a doctor-led clinic in Newstead, Brisbane. We treat skin texture, tone and laxity with Morpheus 8, a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device. Fine pins make tiny channels in the skin, then release gentle heat into the deeper layers. Four interchangeable tips let us work from surface texture through to deeper, firmer tissue across the face, neck and body.

About Dr Asadi
The whole point of having four tips is that the device does not have to compromise. A shallow texture problem is not a deep tissue problem. The depth follows the anatomy, not the other way around.

Our approach to Morpheus 8 is led by your anatomy, and we are careful about who it suits. Every consultation, led by Dr Asadi or her experienced team, looks at the concern, your skin quality, the tip and depth that truly fit, and your medical history. We also weigh up whether Morpheus 8 is the right tool for you right now. If another technology or a referral would serve you better, we will say so.

Clinical Indications

Commonly
Assessed

We use it at our Brisbane clinic across the face, neck, and body. We match the tip and depth to your concern at your consultation. Whether Morpheus 8 suits your situation is decided at that consultation.

What Makes Morpheus 8 Different

Tip Range
& Depth Versatility

What sets Morpheus 8 apart from other RF and microneedling devices is its range of tips we can change. We have four. Resurfacing covers shallow texture, from 0.5 mm to 0.75 mm. Prime is a 12-pin tip for delicate areas. The standard tip has 24 pins and reaches 4 mm to 5 mm for the face and neck. The Body tip has 40 pins and reaches up to 7 mm, with an extra 1 mm of heat. We match the depth to your anatomy at each session.

Facial Skin
Quality & Texture

Skin texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, and overall skin quality are common reasons people ask about Morpheus 8. The Resurfacing tip handles surface work. The standard tip reaches the deeper layer of the skin, at 4 mm to 5 mm, to help it firm. The Prime tip is used in delicate areas where care is needed.

Acne Scar
Appearance

Softening the look of pitted acne scars, the kind that sit below the surface, is one of the well-established uses for RF microneedling. We match the depth to the type and shape of the scar.

Neck
Skin Quality & Laxity

Fine lines, skin laxity (looser skin), and texture changes on the neck are often assessed with Morpheus 8. The standard 24-pin tip lets us adjust the depth, so we can suit the thinner skin of the neck while still reaching the layers that support it.

Body
Deeper Tissue Remodelling

The Morpheus 8 Body tip has 40 pins and can reach up to 7 mm pin depth, with an extra 1 mm of heat beyond that. It is the deepest tip in the original Morpheus 8 range. We use it at Body Dezign House for body areas that need work below the skin's surface. Which body areas suit treatment is decided at your consultation, in line with the Australian ARTG listing and your situation.

Eye Area
& Delicate Zones

The 12-pin Prime tip is used where care and precision matter, such as around the eyes and along the jawline.

Treatment Journey

Sessions, Preparation
& Recovery

At our Newstead clinic in Brisbane, Morpheus 8 is given as a planned course, shaped around your concern, the tip we choose, and the depth your anatomy needs. The notes below are a general guide. Your clinician will tailor the timing, the preparation, and the aftercare to your skin, your medical history, and the area we treat.

Clinical Philosophy
Depth and anatomy belong together; you cannot simply swap one for the other. A device stuck at one fixed depth cannot treat the area around the eyes and a body area with the same honesty. The four tips exist so the assessment, not the technology, makes the call.

Other Treatments
We May Discuss

Some skin concerns respond best to one treatment. Others may need a more layered approach, where different treatments are used to support different parts of the concern.

The treatments listed here are examples of what may be considered. They are not a treatment plan and do not mean you will need all of them. Your recommendation may include one option, a combination, or a different approach altogether after your skin has been properly assessed at our Brisbane clinic.

Complementary RF & Tissue Work

Forma

Forma is a radiofrequency treatment that does not break the skin. It uses surface electrodes, rather than pins, to warm the deeper layer of the skin and the layers that support it. Where Morpheus 8 sends RF through fine pins into the deeper tissue, Forma warms from the surface and checks the temperature as it goes. It is delivered by our experienced team under Dr Asadi's supervision, and is sometimes used for maintenance between Morpheus 8 sessions.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound, not radiofrequency, and does not break the skin. It reaches a deep support layer beneath the skin, known as the SMAS, which helps hold the face up. Where Morpheus 8 works at adjustable depths through fine pins, Ultherapy targets that deeper layer with sound energy. It is delivered by our experienced team under Dr Asadi's supervision, and is discussed where both approaches make clinical sense for you.

Aptos Threads

These are absorbable threads, which the body slowly takes up over time, placed by Dr Asadi as an accredited Aptos Threads Official Trainer. Threads add a lift and support that Morpheus 8 on its own does not give. They are sometimes considered alongside Morpheus 8 when both support and skin remodelling would help the plan. Threads are a medical procedure with their own risks, which we talk through at consultation.

Hydration & Skin Quality

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are hydrating, regenerative treatments that support skin quality, texture, and surface moisture. They are often discussed to add surface hydration on top of the deeper collagen response from Morpheus 8. A doctor or registered nurse provides them, and we match the timing to your Morpheus 8 course, usually outside the early recovery window.

Light & Healing Support

Healite II LED

Healite II is a low-level light therapy with a documented effect on inflammation and on healing after a procedure. It is often used alongside Morpheus 8 to support recovery, calm redness (erythema), and ease comfort over the days after each session. It is delivered by our experienced team under Dr Asadi's supervision.

Signature Facial

A medical-grade facial designed to support the skin barrier and refine surface clarity between Morpheus 8 sessions. It is delivered by our experienced team under Dr Asadi's supervision, and adapted to where you are in your course. We take care to avoid active ingredients that would clash with your recovery window.

Personalised Plan & Skincare

Personalised Treatment Plan

After your consultation, we will prepare a personalised treatment plan based on your medical history, assessment, skin condition, and treatment goals. Your plan clearly explains the treatment options that may be appropriate for you, the recommended sequence of care where needed, expected costs, and realistic timeframes. We will also answer your questions and explain the reasons behind our recommendations, so you have a clear understanding of your options before deciding how you would like to proceed.

Personalised Skincare

Following your VISIA skin analysis and clinical assessment, Dr Fatemeh Asadi or one of our experienced clinicians will recommend a personalised skincare plan based on your skin's individual needs. Your skincare routine is selected to support your treatment plan and may be adjusted over time as your skin changes or your goals evolve.

Skincare We Stock

Dermaceutic K Ceutic Post-Treatment Cream SPF 50

A post-treatment cream with SPF 50 we stock, often discussed for the recovery days after laser and needling sessions.

All cosmetic procedures carry some risk and possible side effects. Whether a treatment suits you, what might rule it out, and the full range of possible complications are all discussed at your consultation. Individual results vary. No outcome can be guaranteed. Read about Risks & Complications →

Questions

Frequently
Asked

Morpheus 8 is usually considered for adults who want to improve the texture, tone, and quality of the skin on the face, neck, or body, where RF microneedling is a sensible fit. We match the tip and depth to your concern at consultation. It does not suit everyone. It may not be right with an active skin infection in the area, current isotretinoin use, or a tendency to form raised (keloid) scars. It may also not suit pregnancy, certain implanted electrical devices, or hopes that go beyond what the treatment can do. Whether it suits you is decided at a full consultation, not online.

Downtime is usually short, and most people describe one to three days while the skin settles. Redness, mild swelling, and a sandpaper-like feel in the treated area are part of the usual response and generally settle within 24 to 72 hours. A little pin-point bleeding right after the session is normal, because the fine pins break the surface. How you experience it varies with the tip we use, the depth we choose, and the area we treat.

Getting ready is simple. Come with clean skin, with no makeup or skincare on the area we are treating. Active creams, such as retinoids or exfoliating acids, are usually paused for a few days beforehand, and your clinician will give you the exact timing. A few things are worth raising at consultation so we can adjust the plan or reschedule if needed. These include recent skin procedures in the area, sun exposure, pregnancy, breastfeeding, isotretinoin use, the medicines you take, and any history of cold sores.

Most people describe Morpheus 8 as short bursts of pressure and warmth as we move the handpiece over the skin. We apply a numbing cream to the area beforehand to keep you comfortable. The deeper the tip setting, the more you tend to feel, though it stays manageable for most. Please tell us how you are going during the session, and we can adjust the settings within a safe range.

Yes. We apply a numbing cream as part of the treatment. We usually put it on about 30 to 45 minutes before we start, depending on the area and the depth planned. It is part of how we keep you comfortable. If you are sensitive, we can talk it through at consultation.

Aftercare is about supporting the skin while the surface settles. The basics are a gentle, non-foaming cleanser, a fragrance-free moisturiser, and broad-spectrum SPF 50+ every day. Pause active creams such as retinoids and acids for a few days. Hold off on hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and hard exercise for 24 to 48 hours. Reviews between sessions let us track how your skin responds and fine-tune the plan.

All radiofrequency microneedling carries some risk. More common ones include redness (erythema), short-lived swelling, pin-point bleeding, changes in skin colour after healing, infection, and a result that falls short of what you hoped. Less common ones include scarring, redness that lasts longer than usual, brief changes in skin sensation, and faint tracking marks. The risks that apply to you depend on your skin type, the area treated, the tip and depth we use, and your medical history. We talk through them in full at consultation, and again on the day.
