Healite II LED Light TherapyNewstead, Brisbane

Healite II is an LED light system, often called red light therapy. At Body Dezign House we use two kinds of light. The 633 nm red light works in the upper layers of the skin, to support skin quality and recovery. The 830 nm near-infrared light reaches a little deeper, to help with healing, comfort, and tissue support. Body Dezign House is a doctor-led clinic in Newstead, Brisbane.

About Dr Asadi
Light at the right wavelength is one of the most under-recognised tools in cosmetic medicine. It does not do everything, but what it does, it does without damaging anything else. That is rare and worth respecting.

Her approach to Healite II is careful and practical. She uses it where the evidence and the right indication support it, both alongside other treatments and on its own. Where it would not add real value, she will say so plainly rather than suggest it for the sake of it.

Clinical Indications

Commonly
Assessed

Healite II's registered uses cover wound healing, easing pain, skin quality, recovery after treatments, and collagen. These apply across both the 633 nm and 830 nm light. Whether Healite II suits you is something we work out together at your consultation in Newstead, Brisbane.

Most Commonly Assessed

Post-Procedure
Recovery & Healing

Healite II is often used straight after laser, IPL, radiofrequency, microneedling, peels, or surgery, to support healing and calm redness. The 830 nm near-infrared light is approved for wound healing and helps the body's own repair. There is no heat and no downtime, and it is often done in the same appointment as the main treatment.

830 nm Near-Infrared
Wound Healing & Deeper Support

The 830 nm near-infrared light reaches a little deeper, below the surface of the skin. Most people group near-infrared in with red light therapy. It is registered for wound healing, easing pain, and supporting skin quality. It also has TGA registration for short-term relief of minor muscle and joint aches, and a short-term lift in blood flow in the area.

633 nm Red Light
Red Light Therapy & Skin Rejuvenation

The 633 nm red light is the heart of red light therapy on the Healite II. It works in the upper layers of the skin. It is registered for recovery after treatments, skin quality, collagen, and supporting the hair and scalp.

Skin Rejuvenation
& Collagen Response

Both the 633 nm and 830 nm light gently support the skin cells, with TGA registration for skin quality and collagen. It is often assessed for people who want steady, ongoing support for their skin.

Photobiomodulation
How LLLT Supports the Cells

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is the clinical name for how low-level light therapy works. Light of the right colour is taken up by your skin cells, mostly by the mitochondria, the tiny engines that make energy inside each cell. This gives the cells more energy to work with, improves blood flow in the area, and helps calm inflammation and support repair. It does not use heat and is non-ionising, so there is no DNA damage and no burning of the skin.

Muscle & Joint
Pain Relief

TGA-registered for short-term relief of minor muscle and joint aches, and a short-term lift in blood flow in the area, mainly through the 830 nm light.

Treatment Journey

Sessions, Preparation
& Recovery

At our Brisbane clinic, Healite II is used either on its own as a course, or added to another treatment to help with recovery. How it is planned depends on the reason for it, the light we choose, and whether it is used alongside other treatments. What follows is a general guide. We tailor the timing and aftercare to your skin, your medical history, and the area being treated.

Clinical Philosophy
Light at the right wavelength does not break the skin to help it. It works alongside what the body is already trying to do. Reading whose skin, whose history, and whose recovery window fit that approach is the quiet work of the consultation.

Other Treatments
We May Discuss

Healite II is one of the most flexible devices at Body Dezign House in Newstead. It pairs well with almost every other treatment we offer. Depending on your assessment, we may discuss one or more of the treatments below.

The treatments listed here are examples of what may be considered. They are not a treatment plan and do not mean you will need all of them. Your recommendation may include one option, a combination, or a different approach altogether after your skin has been properly assessed at our Brisbane clinic.

Vascular & Pigmentation Laser

CoolView Vascular & Pigmentation Laser

A dual-wavelength laser (532 nm and 1064 nm) used for visible vessels and pigment. Healite II is often added straight after a CoolView session to support recovery and settle the skin afterwards.

Lumecca IPL

An intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment for tone, surface pigment, and small facial vessels. Healite II is often added in the same appointment to support recovery and calm redness.

Laser Genesis

A gentle 1064 nm laser that works without breaking the skin surface, used for skin quality and tone. Healite II is often discussed as a same-day pairing to support the response.

Skin Remodelling & Tightening

Morpheus 8

Radiofrequency microneedling, with four tips for the face, neck, and body. Healite II is often added after each Morpheus 8 session to support recovery and settle the skin.

Forma

A non-invasive radiofrequency treatment that warms the skin under careful temperature control. Healite II is discussed alongside Forma to support the collagen response in the weeks after each session.

Ultherapy

Focused ultrasound that works on the deeper support layer beneath the skin (the SMAS). Healite II is sometimes paired afterwards to support recovery.

Threads & Regenerative Skin Procedures

Aptos Threads

Dissolving threads placed by Dr Asadi, an accredited Aptos Official Trainer. Healite II is often added afterwards to support recovery and calm redness.

Skin Boosters

Hydrating skin treatments that support skin quality and moisture at the surface. Healite II is discussed in the same appointment to support recovery and the skin's response.

Skin Treatments

Signature Facial

A medical-grade facial that often includes Healite II as part of the treatment, to support the skin and round out the experience in-clinic.

Personalised Plan & Skincare

Personalised Treatment Plan

After your consultation, we will prepare a personalised treatment plan based on your medical history, assessment, skin condition, and treatment goals. Your plan clearly explains the treatment options that may be appropriate for you, the recommended sequence of care where needed, expected costs, and realistic timeframes. We will also answer your questions and explain the reasons behind our recommendations, so you have a clear understanding of your options before deciding how you would like to proceed.

Personalised Skincare

Following your VISIA skin analysis and clinical assessment, Dr Fatemeh Asadi or one of our experienced clinicians will recommend a personalised skincare plan based on your skin's individual needs. Your skincare routine is selected to support your treatment plan and may be adjusted over time as your skin changes or your goals evolve.

All cosmetic procedures carry some risk and possible side effects. Whether a treatment suits you, what might rule it out, and the full range of possible complications are all discussed at your consultation. Individual results vary. No outcome can be guaranteed. Read about Risks & Complications →

Questions

Frequently
Asked

Healite II suits most adults, across all skin types, who may benefit from light therapy, either on its own or alongside another treatment. People often come in for recovery after a procedure, or for ongoing support of their skin quality. Others come for the device's TGA-registered uses: short-term relief of minor muscle and joint aches, and a short-term lift in blood flow in the area. It is not right for everyone. It may not suit you if your skin is sensitive to light, or if you take medicines that make it sensitive to light. It may also not suit you if you have an active cancer in the treatment area, if light can trigger seizures, if you are pregnant, or if bright light brings on migraines. Whether it suits you is decided at a full consultation, not online.

There is very little downtime. Most people go straight back to their day, and you can wear makeup the same day. The light is non-ionising and does not heat or harm the surface of your skin. Everyone is a little different, and on rare occasions the skin can react.

There is very little to do beforehand. Come with clean skin, with no makeup, sunscreen or active skincare on the area, so the light reaches the skin directly. Please raise a few things at your consultation so we can plan safely. Let us know if you take any medicines that make your skin sensitive to light, if you have had a recent skin treatment, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also tell us if light can trigger seizures, if bright light brings on migraines, or if your skin has ever been sensitive to light. We can then change the plan or move the session to another day if needed.

Most people find Healite II warm, comfortable and relaxing. The light comes through its lens system, which keeps it even across the whole area. You wear protective eyewear the whole time. Many people simply close their eyes and rest during the short session, which usually runs nine to fifteen minutes for each area.

No, you do not need numbing cream for Healite II. There is no heat and nothing breaks the skin, and most people feel a comfortable warmth rather than any discomfort. Eye protection is a must, and we give it to you at the start of each session. If you tend to be sensitive, we are happy to talk it through at your consultation.

Aftercare is simple, because the treatment does not disturb the surface of your skin. Gentle skincare, a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ every day, and drinking enough water all help your skin respond well. You can usually keep using active skincare such as retinoids and acids, and we will guide you on the timing. Seeing you between sessions lets us check how your skin is responding and fine-tune the plan.

Healite II is one of the lowest-risk treatments we offer. Possible effects include a short-lived headache, brief eye sensitivity if eye protection is not worn, mild warmth in the treated area, and a result that does not meet your hopes. Less often, the skin can react to light in people who are prone to it, and there can be brief flushing. The exact risks depend on your medical history, the medicines you take, and the area being treated. We go through them in full at your consultation, and again on the day.
