SKNBAR gives me six handpieces to choose from, and I'll be honest about what that means in practice: it doesn't lock your skin into one technique. Dehydration, HYDRO and a hyaluronic acid solution do the heavy lifting. Puffiness, SCULPT and its lymphatic massage take over. Its job is everyday skin maintenance, hydration, congestion, mild dullness. Not every SKNBAR session at our Brisbane clinic uses all six handpieces. Which ones are used, in what order, and with which AHA, BHA, PHA or hyaluronic acid solution, is decided by what your skin is showing on the day, so a session for dehydration looks different from one focused on puffiness, congestion or dullness.
HYDRO
Hydrodermabrasion
HYDRO delivers the hydrodermabrasion solution matched to your skin, AHA (glycolic acid) for dull, textured skin, BHA (salicylic acid) for oily or congested skin, PHA for sensitive or reactive skin, and hydrogen water as an antioxidant cleanse. It's usually the first handpiece used in a session, lifting away dulling buildup while preparing the skin for hyaluronic acid hydration.
FLOW
Electroporation
FLOW uses electroporation to push the Ion Toner, or another topical booster of your choosing, further into the skin than massage alone would allow, restoring the skin's ionic balance and supporting barrier function. Often paired directly with HYDRO for concerns where the infused solution is doing much of the work.
SCULPT
Lymphatic Sculpting
SCULPT combines electroporation with EMS energy for a soothing lymphatic massage, using long, deliberate strokes to move fluid and ease puffiness, congestion and that heavy, tired feeling in the face. No solution is required for this handpiece. Not suitable for everyone, including some people with implanted electronic devices, which is checked before any session.
DUAL
Heat & Cold Therapy
DUAL harnesses heat and cold for infusion, stimulation and calming, layered on top of other handpieces rather than used alone. Heat activates, resurfaces and increases blood flow to help solutions absorb; cold calms reactive skin, refines pores and locks in hydration. We judge which setting suits your skin, and when, as we go.
PULSE
LED & Electroporation
PULSE layers LED light therapy with electroporation, boosting circulation and supporting the skin's own repair processes after the more active handpieces have done their work, leaving skin looking tighter, lifted and more energised.
ULTRA
Sonophoresis
ULTRA uses sonophoresis, ultrasonic vibration, to "wake up" the skin's metabolism and increase permeability, priming it for the HYDRO solutions and infusion steps that follow.

A combination of targeted hydrodermabrasion solutions cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates the skin through the HYDRO handpiece. Which solution is used, and in what sequence, depends on your skin type and the concern we're treating that day.

Glycolic Acid
Exfoliates dead skin cells, promotes cellular turnover, and improves brightness and texture. Best for dull, textured or uneven skin.
BHA
Salicylic Acid
Penetrates pores to dissolve oil and debris, targeting congestion and breakouts. Best for oily, acne-prone or congested skin.
Hydrogen Water
Antioxidant Cleanse
Neutralises free radicals and rebalances the skin prior to hydration. Suits all skin types as a foundational cleansing step.
PHA
Poly Hydroxy Acid
A gentler exfoliant that promotes cellular turnover and improves texture and radiance without irritation, while supporting the skin barrier. Best for sensitive, reactive, dry, dehydrated or rosacea-prone skin, and for clients new to exfoliation.
Ion Toner
Infusion
Restores the skin's ionic balance, enhances hydration and barrier function, and supports normalisation of the sodium, potassium and calcium gradients essential to skin health. Delivered via electroporation for maximum penetration.
Boosters
Glutathione & PN
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that brightens, revitalises and enhances radiance. Polynucleotides (PN) support skin regeneration and repair, improving elasticity and overall skin quality. Included with the Open and Full Bar.

A targeted, express treatment using a custom selection of 2–3 handpieces, including the essential hydrodermabrasion steps focused on a single skin concern. Perfect for a pre-event glow, maintenance between longer sessions, new clients, or a quick result on a busy schedule.
Open Bar
The full hydrodermabrasion sequence using all appropriate handpieces for your skin, plus an Ion Toner infusion and a targeted booster, Glutathione or PN. Perfect for a fully tailored treatment that targets your unique skin concerns, deeply hydrates, lifts and refines.
Full Bar
The most comprehensive SKNBAR treatment, combining every handpiece and solution with your clinician's choice of additional modalities for skin transformations, events, or a premium skin reset. *Talk to your SKNBAR clinician about Full Bar add-on options; treatment time may differ.
Results are visible immediately, with improved glow, hydration and texture, and there's no downtime, you can return to your day right after a session. Monthly treatments are generally recommended for ongoing skin health and glow, but your SKNBAR clinician will confirm a program suited to you at your consultation. Individual results vary.

PRX-Plus
An ammonium TCA (ATCA) skin peel for freshening and renewing skin without the visible peeling of an ordinary TCA peel. Often used alongside SKNBAR when a concern needs to be addressed at a deeper level than a facial alone can reach.
Skin Needling with Special Serum
Medical-grade microneedling paired with carefully chosen special serums. Often used alongside SKNBAR when texture and overall skin quality are best worked on together.

Depending on what your skin needs, we bring together AHA, BHA or PHA exfoliating solutions, hyaluronic acid hydration, Ion Toner electroporation, lymphatic sculpting, LED light therapy, sonophoresis, and hot-and-cold infusion. Your handpiece and solution selection are built around your skin assessment, so no two SKNBAR sessions are quite the same.
Most people start with a short course, often 3 to 6 sessions spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart, though this depends on your skin and what you are working on. Once you have reached a good baseline, many people continue with a maintenance session every 3 to 4 weeks. The right rhythm for your skin is worked out at your consultation. Individual results vary.
SKNBAR has little to no downtime. Most people notice brighter, smoother-feeling skin straight after a session, with mild pinkness in some cases that settles quickly. Because the programme is built around your skin on the day, we will always tell you what to expect before your session begins.
SKNBAR is suggested for adults who want brighter, more hydrated, or more even-looking skin, help with puffiness and congestion, or a low-downtime facial they can have regularly, as a Mini, Open or Full Bar. It may not suit you with an active skin infection, significant open wounds, certain implanted electronic devices (because of the SCULPT and FLOW handpieces' EMS and electroporation energy), or during pregnancy, depending on the programme. The SCULPT handpiece is built specifically for puffiness, congestion and a heavy-feeling face, using long, deliberate strokes for lymphatic drainage, and is frequently paired with DUAL's cooling setting. Whether this is the right focus for your skin is confirmed at your consultation.
SKNBAR draws on AHA (glycolic acid), BHA (salicylic acid), PHA and hydrogen water for the hydrodermabrasion step, hyaluronic acid for hydration, an Ion Toner for electroporation, and Glutathione or polynucleotide (PN) boosters, delivered through the HYDRO and FLOW handpieces so they can work more effectively than a serum applied by hand alone. SKNBAR is generally well tolerated, but like any skin treatment it carries some risk. Mild redness, temporary tightness, or mild sensitivity can occur, particularly after ULTRA's ultrasonic vibration. The SCULPT and FLOW handpieces use EMS and electroporation and are not suitable for everyone, including some people with implanted electronic devices, and this is checked before any session. They're the three ways a SKNBAR session can be built. The Mini Bar (30 minutes) uses 2 to 3 handpieces on a single skin concern, good for a pre-event glow or a quick maintenance top-up.
